民宿屋久島 (Minshuku Yakushima)

房屋有點陳舊了，店裡兩位長者家，如果不會日語溝通可以藉助一下翻譯軟件。門口就是公交車站，可以去機場和大川瀑布，記得自備零錢，公交不設零找！

A very rustic, traditional, homey guest house. No en suite bathroom but shared ones are super clean AND there is an indoor onsen!! The room was very warm and cozy, food ( must be ordered in advance) was amazing. The owners are extremely warm and friendly - gave us great recommendations and made us feel so at home. You are able to rent hiking here for a very low price. Location is very central, close to Miyanoura port, restaurants, and amenities. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly highly recommend :)

家族で和室マウンテンビューの部屋で3泊しました。部屋は広くかなり快適でした。 スタッフも皆親切で良かったです。

This minshuku is located quite near Miyanoura port, the owners are super nice and they have a public bath that is perfect after a trekking day in Yakushima.

リーズナブルながら、一人旅に十分な快適さのお部屋で、冷蔵庫やWiFiなど設備も充実してました。部屋にはトイレとお風呂はなく共用でしたが、清潔で安心して利用できました。洗濯機や登山用のお弁當予約もあり、利便性も高く、コスパ良く滯在できる宿です。

트래킹을 위한 야쿠시마 방문이였고 역시 비를 피하지 못했어요^^! 세탁기와 건조기 이용, 도시락주문, 몸을 담굴수 있는 욕장이 있어 만족도 10000% + 도와주시려 애쓰는 사장님 너무 감사했습니다. 다음 방문에도 건강유지하시고 또 뵙겠습니다 ^^

No, absolutely not. I cannot recommend this accommodation. tldr: even I paid in advance and had a valid reservation I could not check in. I had called around midday and explicitly said that I would be checking in late in the evening. I was assured that this would not be a problem. An older woman told me I could check in until 10 p.m. When I arrived shortly before 10 p.m., however, the operator knew nothing about it. He simply asked me, “Who are you? I don’t have you on the list.” This was despite the booking being fully confirmed through 訂房網站. Apparently, it had simply been forgotten or overlooked. Allegedly, there was then no room available. On Yakushima, it is naturally difficult to find another place to stay online at short notice, as there are generally not many options. I also already found this accommodation quite expensive. The operator then called a friend who also runs a guesthouse. Guests there had coincidentally cancelled, so I was able to stay there instead. However, he still wanted to keep the full amount of money, even though this replacement accommodation had nothing to do with my original booking. I had deliberately booked this accommodation because I wanted to use an onsen after hiking. The replacement accommodation, however, had no onsen, was smaller, and the room was nothing like what I had originally booked. I later complained to 訂房網站. 訂房網站 was actually helpful and arranged a partial refund for me. So credit to 訂房網站 for that. Unfortunately, there was no other suitable accommodation available at short notice on Yakushima, which is why I had to accept the alternative arrangement. Overall, the operator seems very disorganized. Something like this can become a real problem on Yakushima, because you cannot simply find lots of alternatives spontaneously. This could have ended much worse. The location is good, but because of this experience, I cannot recommend the accommodation.
