Was in Waterford for a football match and booked because it’s close to the stadium and Travelodge usually ok, even though the rating was low. The guy who checked me in was nice but recommended against paying for breakfast, which I thought was odd. The building is weird, dated, but the room was fine. All very basic, but ok. I had a late night after the match and overslept a bit. At 12:40, the receptionist was banging on the door and threatening to call the Gardai. I accept I was late to check out but I’ve never seen this type of reaction ever before and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels over the years. He was rude, abusive, and actually quite threatening. I mentioned about giving a review and he said “I don’t care”. Got this picture of him whilst checking out, which says it all. There are better, cheaper, more central hotels in Waterford. Don’t stay here.
