My daughter arrived at the hotel late on the evening of 28th July and was given her room key. She had unpacked and got into bed when she noticed a big damp patch on the ceiling. On further investigation she noticed black mould in the bathroom and her room. She got out of bed, dressed and repacked her suitcase and went down to reception (as no-one had answered her when she called from her room phone). She explained that the room was incredibly damp, and had black mould growing in it and as someone who has eczema which is triggered by mould, she wanted to be moved. The next room she was offered was also damp and had black mould on the wall and woodwork in the bathroom. She refused this second room as well, as the following day she was due to graduate university and didn't want a flare up of her eczema to ruin her day. She was then offered a room on the 4th floor and was told this was the final option as the hotel was full. What should have been a treat to stay in a hotel the night before her graduation was totally eclipsed by the substandard rooms. I am so disappointed and will be requesting a full refund.
