阿爾卡酒店 (Hotel Alka)

ガンジス川沿いに立地しているので、立地は最高です！併設しているレストランからもガンジス川がみれ、そこの食事も美味しかったです！ただし、ガンジス川沿いの立地なので、リキシャやタクシーではホテルまで行けないので、數分歩く必要性がありますが、その道のりもエキサイティングです！部屋に蚊（？）のような小さい蟲が多かったのが難點でしたが、受付で蟲よけの機械をもらえました。

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Alka. The biggest highlight was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to help us from the moment we arrived. Since cars cannot reach the hotel directly, hotel staff personally met us, helped us reach the property, and later assisted us again when we were leaving by guiding us to the nearest point where we could safely get a taxi. This level of care was greatly appreciated. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even more comfortable. Having an elevator was another advantage, especially after long day of exploring Varanasi. The location is convenient for visiting the ghats and experiencing the atmosphere of the city! The main area that could be improved is cleanliness. Our bed linens and towels did not feel as fresh as expected. Improving housekeeping standards would significantly enhance the overall guest experience. Overall, we are grateful for the kindness and professionalism of the staff, who made our stay enjoyable despite the cleanliness issues! We would come back!

The accommodations do not align with the price quoted and are considered overpriced. The hotel is situated approximately 1 kilometer from Gadaulia Chowk, accessible only via narrow streets, with no vehicle access available. Although the hotel is located in Meer Ghar, it is not advisable for families due to its distance from the main road, despite the staff being commendable. In case of an emergency, there is a risk of missing a train.

The room service is poor, they are uninterested in serving and often tend to refuse. Inhospitable to extensions, we stayed almost a week and it seemed we had overstayed our welcome. Wifi does not work properly, they take laundry only at a particular time and even though I was assured my clothes would be collected, they never followed through, in a week even! All services are practically non-existent. The view is the only saving grace.

Property is located on the bank of River Ganga ( Mir Ghat ). Rooms were clean , it could be bigger in size. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Staff behaviour was good as expected. They have a roof top restaurant . Food quality was good and tasty. You can enjoy scenic beauty of holly river Ganga from your balcony and window. Overall we enjoyed our holiday

Hotel Location was good, only draw back is that the vehicle will not come till the hotel since the hotel is near the Ghat but it's very close to Vishwanath temple, manikarnika ghat, Vishalakshi temple, Kaal Bhairav etc are walkable distance. At present Lift is not available but they have started fabirication work may be within a month it will be ready. Staff like Mr. Rajesh and other House keeping guys are very polite, supportive except One Mr. Santhosh is very rude and arrogant to the guests , My request to Alka Hotel Management to train him how to behave with the guests. tried to post his photo but unfortunately couldn't post. The overall experience was very good with small nonsense germs like Santosh. Thanks

Terrible room quality, staff behavior. Sick hygiene and food! 1. The Hotel is inaccessible by vehicle and extremely difficult for senior citizens and small kids. 2. The Hotel staff is extremely rude and do not allocate the rooms as promised. One of our rooms didn't have an attached bathroom and the staff mentioned if you do not want room, you can cancel your booking!! 3. The hotel hygiene is so bad, at least 100+ cockroaches were freely roaming around 4. One of our room didn't have proper latching arrangement and a broken lock- staff didn't care to replace the locks- safety issue. 5. Poorly designed room- no ventilation or privacy. 6. Poor management, broken walls, doors, flooring and tile. 7. One of room which attached bathroom didn't have any latch. 8. Breakfast was included, staff asked us to pay bill. When argued, they said, I would not have given you that much breakfast. 9. Over expensive and no value for money. 10. The restaurant is literally like bad dhaba.

The best and worst thing about this hotel is the location. True, it is beside the Ganges, but reaching there is a huge problem. Every time you have to walk from Godowlia which is around 1 km (even though it should around 700m in map). The road is broken with many tall and uneven steps(More than 25-30). The door to the stairs leading to the ghat is almost always closed except during aarti, so for ganga snan you have to take the path with more than 50-60 steps. There is no elevators and stairs are of metal with gaps and are highly dangerous. It is open on the sky, so during rainy season, you may slip as well. I asked the service guy about room service, he said it is not available and my parents had to take those stairs thrice a day for meal. However, I saw the same guy carrying snacks to a room in the my floor. The worst was on day of check out. I booked New Delhi Vande Bharat which starts from Varanasi at 6 am. NOBODY WAS THERE TO TAKE OUR LUGGAGE, MY PARENTS AND I HAD TO CARRY ALL HEAVY BAGS FROM SECOND FLOOR TO RECEPTION AND THEN TO GOWDOWLIA. I intimated a day before that I need help, even during check out, I asked for their help. However, I didn't get any. My request to fellow passengers would be to NOT BOOK HERE IF POSSIBLE, however, if tempted, try not to carry big luggage and please keep in mind that it will be very difficult for your parents. I don't want any other parents go through the same ordeal as my parents did after paying fat bucks. Room amenities are average except for the room size. I took the "AC DELUXE ROOM", which was a little bigger than the cupboard under the stairs where little Harry used to stay (If you know what I mean).
