I had gone to Ujjain with my mom on 16th April. Had a very pleasant stay at Kalpana Palace. Room was very spacious with top notch service and amenities. Staff were very polite and courteous and friendly. Their breakfast buffet was very nice and had a lot of variety. Their tour service was also very good. Had a very comfortable journey to Omkareshwar and back. The car provided by the hote was very good and the driver was very polite and friendly. Will definitely look forward to stay at Kalpana Palace next time I visit Ujjain.

Best thing about Hotel Kalpana is that it is 500m from MahaKal mandir. Room was clean and tidy but not spacious. Bathroom was clean too. They provided electric kettle but no teabags or coffee sachets. Breakfast was basic but good. They served Tang/Rasna instead of Juice. Their parking space is too small but atleast they have one compared to other hotels in the vicinity.

The staff at the reception can be bit more courteous and warm. They make you feel unwelcoming. The other staff members though were kind and polite. The distance from the hotel to Mahakaleshwar temple is a selling point. It’s hardly 3-4 minutes walk. The food is decent which they procure from the outside hotel. The AC at times pushes a foul odour and is very unpleasant. Overall a decent stay for the price point.

Hotel was good but there was no service as such. The only good thing about the hotel is the location. Don't expect any value added services from them. Transport desk charges exorbitant rates and it is better to arrange transport locally.

It was a pleasant stay with very helpful staff. The location itself is one of the usp of this hotel. Rest the behaviour of staff is icing on the cake. Keep up the good work.

They don’t have in-house restaurant and bringing food from outside which is quite substandard, costly and leading to high wait time. They don’t provide coffee machine and have to order coffee every time and quite costly. Rooms are too small and claustrophobic and no ventilation. Washroom was stinking throughout and no respite even after keeping exhaust fan on full time. AC was not in good shape but served the purpose. Walls in washroom was dampened. Overall average stay given the price we paid for per night.
