Our chalet at taupo debretts was exactly what we needed. Quiet enough, close enough to the hustle of tourist mecca taupo Central, without being stuck in the thrum of it.
The chalet was comfortable, the staff were very friendly, the kids loved the big bouncy pillow, and the kitchen was basic but functional. It was great to have such a big fridge freezer.
A smart TV would be a good upgrade.
The discount at debretts water park was a really nice surprise, as it made it pretty cheap. We would definitely stay again.

My family really enjoyed our stay here. But for the price we thought the pools come with our stay but unfortunately NO. Our tv also didn’t work and the neighbours power keept turning off which led him into our room and invaded our privacy which we didn’t like at all. Other than that we really enjoyed it.

Was a great stay pools lovely, kids enjoyed it... only downfall was our room was not very clean, Fridge and freezer had food scraps etc in it and bathroom
Floor had hairs etc and toilet didn't flush well other than that was great ... Defs will be back in the near future tho as it was well worth it thanks
