Megami No Yu Iris Park is an outdoor-lovers dream stay. They have camping option and cabins available on site, and their location is absolutely marvelous. Tucked away just outside the main ***** of Chikatsuyu in its own private riverside valley up against the forested mountains, Iris Park has absolutely everything for a quiet nature-focused getaway. The homemade meals prepared for us (we'd selected this option with our cabin on our 2nd stop along the Kumano Kodo) were fantastic! Plua the onsen on-site was virtually our own private bath during our stay!! Do not be put off by the location - an easy 10-minute walk outside town, or a very quick drive - because the serenity and gorgeous landscape you'll find here is 1000% worth it.

The location is not far from Chikatsuyu. I followed Google Map and easily found it! Very tasty dinner and breakfast. Great size house!!! I also enjoyed the onsen. It's so nice!!! The manager speaks great English and it's easy to communicate! Thank you so much!

The park was a nice location, seems to have been in hard times/a bit run down, maybe just the winter season. Was a bit expensive for what it was, some other inns along the kumano kodo included dinner/lunch for same price. However it does the job!
Was expecting to be in one of the cute cabins but was in a building block.
