The room was comfortable the neighbors were respectful the staff was great!

The hotel has definitely seen better days. the carpet in the lobby was filthy and looked like it hadnt been cleaned or replaced in years. the rooms themselves were also very run down. furniture had broken handles, the backside of the door had scratches and paint missing like it had been torn up. the bathroom door had no doorknob, just a hole. the popcorn/paint on the ceiling in the bathroom was cracked and peeling. the faucet in the tub was NOT ver well contected to the wall. when I went to lifr the plunger to turn on the shower, the whole faucet moved and I thought it was going to rip out of the wall. The beds were rock hard with no support or softness whatsoever and were the most uncomfortable beds we'd ever slept on. This location also seems to allow staff to live there, as when we complained about the dog barking in the room right next to us, (after we had been told NO pets and had to sign about that at check-in), the front desk clerk said, oh sorry...thats just my cleaning lady, I'll call the room and ask her to keep it down. Said cleaning lady or someone in that room also spent all hours of the day sitting outside the room smoking which meant all that nasty smell crept into our room. We had to go buy some air freshner to get rid of the smell. It also seemed that this hotel had plenty of other folks living there. It just in general had a run down, unkempt appearance. the only positives from the stay, the AC worked like gangbusters and kept the room nice and cool, and, despite the broken furniture and peeling paint and other run down unmaintenainced upkeep, the place seemed clean for the most part and we saw no bugs.
