梨樹 (The Pear Tree Homestay | Room & Caretaker)

The rooms are newly built and comfortable. The food was okayish. The stay was overall average and satisfactory.

The stay was comfortable but value for money is 5/10. The place is just a very basic homestay and the amount they change is not at all justified. I saw many good hotel in there with the same price and much better options.

Room was small for a family of 4. Homestay caretaker just told us that breakfast will be ready at 8 in the morning. When we went at 8 the person told us that they make breakfast only if it was ordered before. Since we had to leave, we didn't have breakfast.

It was a very peaceful experience. They have a good collection of paintings, which gives quite artistic feel to the place. Caretakers are helpful and humble. Overall a very good stay.

Rooms are great, staff is terrible. They are not cooperative at all and rude as hell (vicky; would not recommend the stay if he is he supervisor.

Stayed 3 nights, 5 rooms for 12 ppl. The suite & junior suite are specious, luxurious room with balcony too nice, but other rooms were okiesh. Avoid ground floor room it's at the end of lane & getting our traveler here was not possible. The caretaker did help to get our luggage from the traveler parked at the end of the small lane. There is no dedicated dining area which is challenging if you have a group, especially in rains. House keeping is good, nice beds & clean bedsheets, no complaints there, rooms are equipped with tea & coffee maker. Breakfast is not good for vegetarians. Caretaker can't keep up sometimes with big group he needs to be trained in that department but have knowledge about poi in & around shillong ( it does comes handy to plan the day. There was a boy i think math-use very polite & quick to align with guests requests kudos to him. All in all a good experience best ho sakta tha!

The property is good. Located in a residential area but peaceful. We stayed in Room 302, which featured a large balcony on the front side. Perhaps, this is the best room to stay in. You can order a customised dinner, but there are very few options for breakfast. Lunch is not available at this property. The manager, Mr. Vikky is very helpful, and so is the young boy for room services. They allow outside food, therefore, you can order food from Swiggy or Zomato also.

The pear tree homestay has set the benchmark for me. Very good hygiene ***** with tasty breakfast. The host mr. Dhiraj has ensured that his guests have a comfortable stay. Manager here mr. Vicky is very helpful in each case, whether it's stay related some request or guidance for planning your day travel in & around shillong. The location of the property is also very good, hardly 20 mins. Walking to city centre. The walking enables you to enjoy & explore the city on your own. Related to stay part, everything has been taken care including attached toilet with geyser, ambient lights in room, tv, good quality mattress, hygienic laundry etc. In a nutshell, the pear tree is a must stay property in shillong.

Short and sweet. The place is nicely tucked in the centre of the city. So a great place to explore the city.
