As a hostel, the place can work. But as a hotel, it’s a real disappointment. • Private room issues: • Leaking toilet • No hot water • Shower with mould • Wall shelf falling apart • Extremely noisy AC (I eventually had to move to a dorm…) For a hotel, there are some minimum standards that are simply not met. Another issue: nobody at the reception speaks English, which made communication very difficult. I had to spend more than an hour translating just to explain the AC problem and request a refund. That said, I want to point out that the staff really tried their best, and in the end, I did get the refund. Still, the property urgently needs to fix some basic issues in the private rooms

Literally can’t fault it here at all, above all else the staff are a super friendly super beautiful bunch! Also though the facility is great. It’s HUGE and there is an elevator which I like :)

Ich war sehr zufrieden mit meinem Aufenthalt im Viajero Santa Marta. Die Räumlichkeiten waren sauber und die Betten gemütlich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

As a hostel, the place can work.
