Great hotel with lots of facilities and very pleasant grounds overlooking the golf course The staff are always very friendly and helpful Location is great to travel to my office in Liskeard an close to Plymouth Well worth a visit

A mixed experience. We booked for the pool facilities, which were great. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening - excellent food and very good service. The breakfast was good too. Some buts, though. Our room had a very uncomfortable bed, a strange electrical light show from some devices in the ceiling once we turned the lights out and a repeated electrical buzzing sound all through the night which disrupted our sleep.The staff moved us to a much more comfortable room on the second night. The floors upstairs were so bouncy that it felt like the hotel must have the underlying structure of a rickety prefab - very odd and a little unsettling. And the restaurant had no character at all - an almost sterile feel. All a bit odd. While the pool, the food and the service really were great, and the many golfers who visited were clearly delighted, some of the spaces do need a refurb and a rethink.

The hotel in itself and the staff were amazing, the amenities decor and carpet could do with an upgrade. Also the amenities could do with an upgrade as there is no 24hr drink or food service, maybe a vending machine for drinks and snacks so customers can use that thru the night if needed. T
