The apartment is located in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of the city. It doesn't feel like Rome at all—you don't get the atmosphere or charm of the city. I would not recommend it for women traveling alone, as the streets are deserted at night and it doesn't feel particularly safe or comfortable walking back.
Before check-in, we were bombarded with messages asking for detailed information about our arrival: the exact arrival time, our means of transportation, flight numbers, airport, and so on, supposedly to organize the key handover. We provided everything they requested and kept them updated throughout our journey (airport, train station, metro). On top of that, we were also asked to upload copies of our passports and a selfie, which we refused to do for obvious security and privacy reasons.
Despite all this, nobody was there to welcome us when we arrived. It was 38°C, and we were left waiting in the heat. Since it was unbearably hot, we went to buy some groceries. The person arrived while we were away and seemed annoyed that they had to wait for us. It makes you wonder why we were asked to provide so many details about our arrival—and to keep sending updates throughout our vacation—if they weren't going to be there anyway.
Once we checked in, we were given no information about the apartment or its facilities, especially how to use the gas stove. There were no matches either, only a lighter that no longer worked. We had to ask for something to light the stove, and eventually someone brought it.
Overall, the apartment itself was clean. The air conditioning worked well, and the bed was comfortable. However, the dishes and kitchen utensils looked like they had been picked up from a flea market.
The apartment is certainly not 65 square meters unless you include the terrace, which is fairly large. Unfortunately, we couldn't really use it because the seat cushions were dusty and stained, making them uninviting to sit on. On top of that, the air-conditioning compressors are installed on the terrace and constantly blow hot air into it. Combined with the summer heat, it was impossible to enjoy the space.
There were two rechargeable bedside lamps. One had a broken charging port, and the other didn't work even after charging overnight. As a result, the only lighting available in the evening was the bright ceiling lights, which made the apartment feel anything but cozy.
The agency managing the apartment promised that someone would come the next morning with replacement lamps, but nobody ever showed up. They simply ignored our messages afterward.
In summary, if you're only staying for one night and aren't looking for the atmosphere of Rome, this apartment may be acceptable at a moderate price. However, for a longer and more enjoyable stay, I would not recommend it. If good service is important to you, you would probably be better off staying in a hotel.
