The Alpen Motel was very clean and well located between Radium Hot Springs Village and the hot springs themselves. The Sinclair canyon is a beautiful sight a short walk up the hill. The room was small, but had everything needed including AC for the uncharacteristically hot weather. The whole experience was very hands off, with the office being at the Apple Tree Inn across the street. Unfortunately housekeeping did not come while we were out, so we did not have refreshed coffee for the second morning. The power also went out twice (night and then again in the morning) and there was no backup power source. This is of course no fault of the hotel’s, but it would have been nice to have an emergency light source in the room.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. The room was cleaned and tidy when we arrived but it wasn't serviced at all during our stay. I reported a faulty lamp and that wasn't fixed. At least the room was cheap.
