麥奎利港營房汽車旅館 (Macquarie Barracks Motor Inn)

非常差的體驗，完全不值得

My experience with Macquarie Barracks Motor Inn was not good. I stayed there for 1 night with my family (wife , 2 kids). During the time of online booking room was booked with full details 2 adults +2 kids but during check out I realised they have charged extra in my credit card and the reason they gave was for child they charged extra where was in my booking confirmation 2 adults +2 kids included. Staffs behaviour was rude. Room is not specious for small family.

Very clean and spacious room. Felt comfortable in there. However, the pillow was a bit hard. The motel reception closed at 7pm and it was literally closed. The tip I learned is to send message by the phone number placed at the reception door or send email by the website's contact email. The staff was responsive to both ways - save you the overseas call if you're foreigners. The staff will send you the passcode of the key box then you can get the envelope of the room number and key. 6 minutes drive to Port Macquarie where has many good quality restaurants. We went to the Japanese restaurant, Ichi, very good quality dishes but not expensive! Another we didn't manage to go is Bills Fishouse & Bar. It was full house thus, needs to do reservation if you wan to secure a table. Saw what people eat in Bills - dishes looked beautiful and tasty.
