Staff welcome you the hotel is massive and lovely restaurants very classy the rooms are all different had a nice bath and bed the TV could be updated but apart from that really nice place to stay

Lovely welcome & check in from reception. Breakfast check in not so nice, & she had a real attitude with us picking where we wanted to sit. It was really early & we had just woken up, the lady being so regimental & forceful with us ruined breakfast really. She needed to recognise we are on a weekend break, not children being seated in the school dining hall. We had to ask her to back away from us as she was speaking so loudly so early, & ordering us about, then she walked away bad mouthing us to other staff members when she was actually the one making things awful. Apart from that we enjoyed the stay. Nice old fashioned style rooms. We had lots of space with a large bed & large TV so was very happy with the room. Pretty flower wallpaper & a nice traditional feel to the decor. Very good value for the price we paid. Thank you

Perfect stay after Theatre visit. Cosy room ,warm hotel and very grand. Plenty of hot water in our en suite too.
Breakfast was included so a really good deal. Buffet and a full English . Couldn’t fault it

It was a nice stay. Actually, i've stayed there on a few occasions. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. Also, the hotel is in an ideal location for me. Walking distance to many good bars and restaurants while also being a short drive to the torpoint ferry and the dockyard.

Quirky old building, which has some fantastic original features. Currently covered in scaffolding as they renovate the outside. This wasn’t an issue although coming in from the back car park was odd-over a metal path to a fire escape!
However, the staff are lovely and so accommodating. Our allocated room had a fault (toilet seat not attached) and they swiftly and professionally moved us to a different room with no problems. They let us leave our car there too before the check in time.
Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I’d definitely stay again.

Spent the whole day travelling from the other side of the world and arrived at 2am to a warm and efficient welcome. This is a hotel with character but also clean and comfortable.

Room was average but was cheap enough to not complain about didnt explore much looks very grand inside but experience was ruined by the building being covered in scaffold would definately not have booked this hotel if i was pre warned about the scaffold covering the whole building the whole reason of booking the hotel was for the experience staying in such a beautiful looking place very dissapointed we was not pre warned about this.
