Had a lovely 2 night break at Peebles Hydro. We had a lovely spacious room with great views over the gardens and the town. All the staff were very friendly. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.

It really is outdated, compared to other spas and hotels of similar ilk. For instance I stayed at Dunked house, it was night and day. The staff are great but the place needs a lot of money spent on it. In our room 317 we hd a television that had half the screen darker than the other half, good thing we didn't go here to watch the telly. The pool area was nice but needs refurbed. The big steps taking you down the front are dangerous for elderly people, they are patched up and in a very, very, "note the two very's" bad state to of affairs to say the least. Would I stay here again, probably not till the place has been upgraded. Looking at what I have seen of the hotel, this is going to take millions of pounds to do. I enjoyed the archery, the wee girl was a great help. To be fair the staff are lovely but things really need to improve on the hotel side.
