雲手民宿 (Graham Homestay)

Room exactly as described - clean and quiet - check in friendly and very easy, even though I was arriving much later then originally expected. Perfect loaction for my needs (close to Queensway Carleton Hospital). Would definitely book again!

When we check in mentioned room unavailable and full house We never received any notice about this It’s refer us to another home stay We need to drive few more minutes to other location at night of which we nearly got lose ☹️☹️☹️

Nous sommes arrivé à 18 heures or ont n’etais sensé avoir la chambre à 15 heures malgré notre venu tarde la chambre était pas prête donc avons passe 10 a 20 minutes a attendre dans le salon et enfin nous n’avons pas puis voir une nuit paisible car les propriétaires se sont disputés toute la nuit

Host was very easy to deal with and made sure I got everything I needed during my stay. The bedroom with queen bed was spacious, comfortable and had its own 2-piece ensuite bathroom. Would rent again if I’m back in Ottawa again for the long weekend.

LOCATION: Private home in a quite neighborhood. Far from city center, but busses operate nearby and you can reach Parliament hill or the train station in about 1-1,5 hours. ROOM: The room is huge, had a good bed, a desk, a huge closet and a its own fridge. No kettle, no coffee machine, no microwave and no TV. A kitchen is nearby, maybe if you ask kindly, you can use it as well. The room has a restroom attached, but it only has a toilet and a sink. If you'd like to take a shower, there is a separate (shared) bathroom right outside of the bedroom. It's no big deal, but be aware that there is no full bathroom. MY EXPERIENCE: When I arrived, unfortunately, they were not aware that I was coming. The host's son manages the rooms and forgot to tell the host that I were coming. I got an entry key for the door lock in advance, so the entire situation was a bit awkward. It took them about 10 minutes to prepare the room. My one-night stay was alright, as I only needed a bed to sleep in. The cleanliness was only mediocre, maybe they'd have swiped the table and nightstand, if their internal communication would have been better. The room was a bit cold in late November, but again, I did not care too much and did not address that. ABOUT THE HOST(S): The host and her son are kind and polite. I'm sure they will be very helpful, if you have any questions or additional requests. It's not a hotel, so don't apply hotel standards. Better think of it as staying in the basement of a friend's house after a party. It's not ultra clean, but good enough for a house that is lived in by normal people. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay, if you know what to expect in a home stay scenario. One more thing: There was no dog on the premise as shown in the pictures, but an older black cat.

Got there at 4h00 p.m. Had to wait 40 minutes (room wasnt ready). Felt like we were disturbing the owner, definately didnt feel welcome. Room was nice, comfy mattress/pillows, clean. Had our own toilet/sink but you have to get out of the room to use the shower. No tv . Very quiet. Definately not the place to party/be loud, etc... perfect for a good night of sleep. You have to remember you are a guest in someone's home
