奧爾莫克GV 酒店 (GV Hotel - Ormoc)

Not sure if other hotels have or do not have hot water for shower. GV Hotel does not, please note. Also the shower is spacious but no seperate cubicle. The whole floor gets wet as you shower, may be a common feature in the tropical cities. Nevertheless, the proximity to SM Mall is the best feature, you can get everything in the Hypermarket and most of the popular food outlets under one roof, just a 2 minute walk opposite the same street. If you want to try the BBQ style, please visit first floor with very reasonable price. see photo here showing the menu.

The check in was smooth. It's in walking distance from the ferry pier. The room was basic but functioning. Wifi works well.

Previously mentioned the wonderful proximity to SM Mall. there is also the famous Pare's Lechon right across the street, see photo, next to the petrol station. Unfortunately few days after arriving home, had a terrible rash all over due to possibly mite bites or allergy from a t shirt that I hang in the open clothes cupboard during my stay. I did not inform the hotel yet. If they read this, please do a thorough cleaning especially to the wooden clothes cupboard. Because I like to stay there again next time but no way I will hang my clothes in the cupboard again.... LOL

Location is ok near SM mall and if you do not mind to walk a bit from port terminal around 10 to 15 minutes. Room is generally clean but just very basic with not much amenity other than parking. Very friendly and helpful staff at front desk and engineering, fixed the broken drain under the basin straight away. Unfortunately the dripping aircon condensate from upper floor was unbearable, so need to switch to another room with minimum fuss.
