Me and my wife, both senior citizens, stayed in The Byke Sunshine Grand, Ooty from 16th to 19th April, 2025. Our stay was excellent and will be remembered in our memory for years to come. The staff and management was very cooperative and courteous and they solved any problem put to them, to our full satisfaction, smilingly. The food was very tasty. They observed utmost cleanliness not only in the restaurant but in the entire hotel. The location of the hotel is ideal. We would like to stay there again.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Ooty. While the overall experience was decent, there were a few things to note. The room was quite old-fashioned and could definitely use some renovation—it didn’t feel very comfortable or modern. However, the hospitality of the staff was excellent. They were friendly, polite, and always ready to help. One of the highlights of the stay was the food. Both lunch and breakfast were delicious, and it’s a great place for those looking for pure vegetarian options.

Hotel property is good. Staff behaviour is very nice. Only veg food is available in the hotel restaurant. In-case you want to have non veg food then you need to step out in any nearby restaurant(option are there.

Location is very good and close to main market which is commercial road. Food provided in restaurant is only pure vegetarian and is of decent quality. Rooms quality is very average and furnishing of rooms is old and needs a lot of renovation. Staff is very nice and provides every support as needed. Geyser, iron, blankets, towels are provided by hotel.

The booking and check-in was very swift and the staff were very accommodating. The restaurant serves delicious food. The quality of complimentary breakfast could be better. Totally, a nice experience.

Overall good for a budget friendly as well as clean stay with good view of the mountain and valley. There was no AC, no fans in the 2700 rupees deluxe room also. Small rooms need air circulation. 250 rupees pure veg- idli, dosa breakfast was a little dull. Main positive- Near the ooty market, near Charing cross bus stop- if you are travelling by sleeper bus. View was comparatively good.
