We booked the Bamboo Room that was advertised for two people. When we arrived there were three snarling pitbulls in the front yard, but they were blocked off from the stairs to the house. So I entered the property and rang the doorbell within the check-in time. Nobody answered. I tried again ...and again. I called the number I got with the booking and it immediately was picked up by an AI assistant that said I should say who I am and what I want so that they can text the person and see if they will pick up the phone. They didn't. I tried again. And again. Finally, after about 20 minutes during which time we were wondering what to do given that we had pre-paid and nobody seemed available, somebody came to the door. He didn't seem to care we were waiting for him, and didn't acknowledge we were standing outside, have a reason, or even let us in, but at least we knew somebody was there, so I expected we'd be let in soon. It was another 15 minutes or so before the door opened. The guy showed me to our room, past three more snarling dogs of a similar type inside the house. This room that claims to accommodate two had only a single bed for one person. I said, "I don't think this room is for two." He said, "Well, it's the one you booked." Fortunately for us, we had a camping mattress so I could sleep on the floor. There is no space in this house. It is filled with plants, dogs, and people's stuff, like winter coats outside the bathroom door and other people's bathrobes and towels inside. There is a rack in the shower for shampoo and body wash ...but it too is full with things like a toothbrush (not mine!). In the morning there was dog poop and puddles of pee inside the area where the three indoor dogs are kept. I actually don't mind dogs and have owned a pitbull before, but it's so sad to see them kept like that. We'd found cheaper accommodation in SF but decided against booking it because we didn't want to ride our motorcycles in the city. Still, it's about $10 and one hour each way to get anywhere in SF, thus adding to the cost of choosing this accommodation. I would not stay here again.
