Apologies for the long review, but to summarize: I am giving this property 1 star because I was bitten by one of the dogs during my stay and want to warn other guests about what happened. If not for the safety issues involving the dogs, I probably would have rated the property around 3 stars.
I was returning to the property after a brief walk when I found the dogs freely roaming near the entrance. The owner was sitting on the porch on a phone call, and because the dogs appeared calm and the owner made no effort to move them, I slowly entered the gate. However, once I was fully inside and had closed the gate behind me, the dogs began barking and jumping at me. One of the dogs jumped on me and bit me, causing me to yelp. At that point, the owner got up and helped move the dogs away from me. The bite broke my skin. Afterward, I did not feel safe using the common areas, especially since I had to pass by the dogs to access amenities. What made the situation even more concerning was that the dogs continued roaming freely for some time after the incident. The owner also did not reach out afterward to acknowledge what happened, and when I later requested compensation through the booking platform, I was informed that the property denied the incident had occurred. I also contacted the property directly and did not receive a response.
Beyond the bite, there were other issues with the stay. The common areas were nicely decorated and the bathroom was clean, but the room did not feel thoroughly cleaned, some amenity information appeared outdated, and communication with the property manager was difficult. I also had to wait outside despite arriving after check-in and providing advance notice. I stayed in the Canopy Queen room; while the bed was comfortable, it had a strong odor that I believed smelled like urine.
The dogs were by far the biggest concern. During my stay, I observed multiple dogs both inside and outside the property. The outside dogs frequently barked and jumped when guests entered, making the entrance intimidating and the Canopy Queen room noisy. The dogs inside were particularly concerning because guests had to pass them to access common amenities. They frequently barked and jumped when people walked by, and I personally found navigating the property increasingly uncomfortable.
I understand that property owners may choose to have animals, but based on my experience, guests should not have to navigate around dogs that make them feel unsafe.
Based on my experience, I would strongly discourage others from staying here until the dogs are managed in a way that allows guests to safely access and use the property.

We booked the Bamboo Room that was advertised for two people. When we arrived there were three snarling pitbulls in the front yard, but they were blocked off from the stairs to the house. So I entered the property and rang the doorbell within the check-in time. Nobody answered. I tried again ...and again. I called the number I got with the booking and it immediately was picked up by an AI assistant that said I should say who I am and what I want so that they can text the person and see if they will pick up the phone. They didn't. I tried again. And again. Finally, after about 20 minutes during which time we were wondering what to do given that we had pre-paid and nobody seemed available, somebody came to the door. He didn't seem to care we were waiting for him, and didn't acknowledge we were standing outside, have a reason, or even let us in, but at least we knew somebody was there, so I expected we'd be let in soon. It was another 15 minutes or so before the door opened. The guy showed me to our room, past three more snarling dogs of a similar type inside the house. This room that claims to accommodate two had only a single bed for one person. I said, "I don't think this room is for two." He said, "Well, it's the one you booked." Fortunately for us, we had a camping mattress so I could sleep on the floor. There is no space in this house. It is filled with plants, dogs, and people's stuff, like winter coats outside the bathroom door and other people's bathrobes and towels inside. There is a rack in the shower for shampoo and body wash ...but it too is full with things like a toothbrush (not mine!). In the morning there was dog poop and puddles of pee inside the area where the three indoor dogs are kept. I actually don't mind dogs and have owned a pitbull before, but it's so sad to see them kept like that. We'd found cheaper accommodation in SF but decided against booking it because we didn't want to ride our motorcycles in the city. Still, it's about $10 and one hour each way to get anywhere in SF, thus adding to the cost of choosing this accommodation. I would not stay here again.
