現代酒店 (The Modernist Hotel)

I asked the hotel before check in whether I can pay for late check out and I got an email confirming the price and an alright. After checking in the friendly lady on the first night told me to call down the next morning and check whether it was available or not. That really confused me coz I was ready to pay the $75 Confirmed. This amount h til 1 pm And now it was not sure. Anyways I call in the morning and another lady told me ist now $75 per hour plus tax. So another story. Which really pissed me off. So I said ok forget it I check out at 11 and go for a long massage and relax instead of paying $150 for two hours plus tax. So please be warned. Even with confirmed email these people at the front desk change their minds or will say they never heard about the email. Positive points is that the room was a good size but with too tiny bottle of shower gel. Location wasn’t the best. It is a bit of. Walk to the subway. First night a lady from the Dominican Republic was super nice.

It’s a spacious hotel and good value of money, especially in New York City!! It’s also very clean!
