羅德威酒店 (Rodeway Inn New Braunfels)

This place tries to scam you for extra charges! I booked a room here thru 訂房網站. I had to prepay for the room at the time of booking, but the stay was next day, so no big deal. When I checked in at the front desk, I was told by the clerk that my credit card I put the room on had been declined, which didn't make sense, because 訂房網站 had emailed me a confirmation letter when I paid for the room. The last 4 #s of the card the clerk read back to me weren't even my card! He wouldn't let me check in unless I gave him a "valid" card. I didn't have much choice at 1am. Once in my room, I called my credit card company, & I had been charged by 訂房網站 & the hotel. I called the front desk, telling the clerk my card hadn't been declined, it was charged, now twice for the room. He refused to reverse the 2nd charge on my card. I immediately called 訂房網站 & they assured me they would contact the hotel & find out what was going on. In 15 minutes I got an email from 訂房網站 telling me the 2nd charge had been taken off my card. I have no doubt this place was trying to scam me out of a 2nd charge to my card, thinking I wouldn't fight it! Thank you 訂房網站 for stepping in to fix this! Also, I booked a handicapped room, & the beside lamps weren't plugged in, the only lights in the room. Luckily a friend could help me, but if I had been by myself, how could I have moved night stands & stooped over to get them plugged in?? I'd avoid this place & go somewhere else. Check your credit card for extra charges if you do stay.
