The good: The apartment itself was easy enough to check in. It had good facilities and everything you'd expect in that department. It's not staffed hotel or anything so it's basically self service. It's about a 5-10 min walk to the local train station. The bad: My partner and I stayed two nights and we both got mauled by bugs in our sleep which I feel were bed bugs. The bites were huge and swelled up. I contacted the owner and said they might want to gas the bedding and house just in case. However, they said they clean the sheets in a clean clothes washer and keep the apartment at a temperature that does not allow for bugs to breed. Which would require the apartment to remain under 10 degrees for a long time. Japan is in autumn at the moment and it's roughly 20 degrees or above constantly.
