中央館清水屋旅館 (Chuokan Shimizuya Ryokan)

極有溫度的一家日式旅館。雖然行李搬上搬下都要走陡峭鋥亮的木質樓梯，屋內老古董讓人生怕碰壞，所有賓客共用衞生間洗澡間和溫泉♨️。但卻那麼溫馨，樓上樓下合理利用空間，20間左右的客房錯落有致。舒服的溫泉泡湯，鬆軟的布團榻榻米和店裡寧靜的環境讓人的心放鬆下來。旅館經營者是一對年逾八旬的老年夫婦，每天樓上樓下忙碌著，迎來送往，81歲的老先生不僅身體硬朗還記憶力超群，每次住客出門他都把客人的鞋子挑出來放在客人面前，從不出錯。老奶奶也是容光煥發親切可愛，客人跟她説的每一句話她都不會忘記，用心細緻。送別時兩位長者穿著拖鞋站在門外一直跟我們鞠躬揮手告別直到巴士遠行。也許就是使得這家百年老店一直傳承下來的緣故。希望大家入住時也能感受到他們珍貴的溫暖並善待珍惜。

Nice location with old fashion Ryokan hotel in Nagano. Business runs by 2 old people with warm welcome. It's share bathroom And they have onsen (small) avaliable for your stay.

Good location. No elevator as it is an old Japanese style stay. Very clean public onsen bath. Shared toilet.

Loved the whole experience of staying jn a Japanese Ryokan. The location is pretty assessable to Zenkoji Temple.

Managed by an elderly Japanese couple who are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I loved the yukata, the traditional Japanese-style rooms, and the onsen spa. For ASEAN ladies, don’t be surprised… it’s normal Japanese culture to bathe together in the onsen. 😅 The whole experience felt authentic, warm, and relaxing.

The elderly man and woman, a Japanese couple, the 6th generation owners of the 150-year-old Ryokan, were exceptionally hospitable. They were service-oriented and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Every morning, our shoes were placed ready for us to put on and with a shoehorn in hand, the elderly man was ready to hand it to us, when we needed it. Every evening when we returned, we were greeted by the couple, smiles on their faces, with a warm welcome back, in the Japanese Language. Breakfast was similarly served by the elderly woman, with a smile. The only thing which we had not experienced before, but which had made our stay memorable, was that we had to use the common washroom, that was situated outside of our room. Our daily baths were similarly taken, not in the privacy of our room, but in the common bathroom, where the onsen is also situated. It took about a day and half for us to get used to the idea of using the common bath, toilet and basin, but it was all part of a whole new experience, which we embraced and would not forget. Thank you for the incredible hospitality!

This is my first Ryokan and I stayed here because people said it is a must do when visiting Japan. I was hesitant at first because there were some not so stellar reviews. However, the owners are some of the nicest people I have met and researching about ryokans and Japanese culture and etiquette really went a long way in making my experience so much more enjoyable and meaningful. I loved my stay here!
