I had a deeply disappointing stay at this property:
1. Upon arrival, the owner’s phone was off, leaving me stranded for 30 minutes.
2. The first night was terrible — mosquitoes everywhere, and I had a two-year-old child with me.
I requested a mosquito net or repellant, was promised one by nightfall, but it never arrived. Just fake promises, and another miserable, sleepless night.
3.After following up again, they brought mosquito coils — the type used in downtown lodgings — which was unacceptable.
4. From the second day, I complained about water shortages. "Bonnie" (the person in charge) pretended to be surprised and said he would check, but never got back to me. That night we were forced to use toilet water for basic needs. Completely unacceptable.
5. The following day, there was absolutely no water. Even after contacting Bonnie and Jackson (the so-called Airbnb agent), nothing was done. We were told to wait until 10 PM — another empty promise. Another horrible night without a shower, even with a small child.
By checkout, the water issue was still unresolved. Neither the agent nor the owner made any real effort to assist.
6. The bedding was stained, yellowed, and clearly not properly cleaned. Hygiene standards were shockingly low.
7. The room was stuffy, smelly, and the carpets were filthy and uncleaned.
Recommendation
1. This apartment is not worth the money.
2. It seems ideal only for those who have an enmity with clean, running water.
3. The customer service is comparable to that of a ghetto lodging.
