A well decorated boutique hotel ; the room was elegant and the bed was very comfortable ; room was not very big in comparison to the bed size; nice canal view but some noise from outside though the windows were double glazed. Generally good but slightly overpriced ( comparing with the apartment hotel next to Piccadilly station).

The receptionist was warm and welcoming, and the hotel itself has a really trendy vibe. The bar staff had great energy, and the room décor was stylish with a very comfortable bed. However, on closer look the room felt a bit worn - ripped wallpaper, holes in the tiles, the shower coming away from the wall and a grubby sink. From around 4am to 8am there was constant noise from the room above due to squeaky floorboards, and outside the window there were loud disturbances all night, which made it hard to sleep. The shower was hot and powerful, but checkout was difficult as no one was at reception and I had to search for a staff member. The receptionist apologised and mentioned we could have contacted the night manager via WhatsApp, but this wasn’t communicated to us. There’s so much potential here - some maintenance, better soundproofing and a reception bell would make a big difference. I’m hoping for some kind of goodwill refund!
