It takes about 1 hour driving from town to the home stay. The view is beautiful. Overall it’s clean but the kitchen area is quite oily, especially the condiment bottles. The water temperature in the bathroom could not be adjusted, but the water is warm. The dinner is great but not enough for both of us. At night, there’s so many different kinds of insects, they are all attracted by the lights. So we could not spent the night chilling at outside. By the way the breakfast taste not so good, we barely had any 😅

The location is around 15min from town and recommended for traveller with self drive , parking available just outside the hotel. The staff communicate efficiently via email and are responsive to any inquiries. Breakfast and dinner are included, and the portions are generous enough for two people. The food tasted good and was satisfying overall. The main downside was the large number of insects around the property, which is something to be aware of. Another issue was the yellowish water supply. It looked quite unappealing, and I wasn’t comfortable using it to rinse my mouth or fill the bathtub. If you’re planning to stay here, I would recommend bringing a few bottles of mineral water for convenience. Other than that, the stay was generally pleasant.

**AVOID KAWIN MOUNTAIN VILLA. No privacy, construction, chicken shed next door and serious safety concerns.** I strongly recommend avoiding Kawin Mountain Villa. What should have been a peaceful, private mountain retreat turned into one of our most disappointing experiences in Thailand. The photographs look beautiful, but they don't show the reality of staying here. We arrived to find active construction immediately beside our villa, with loud drilling, hammering and builders working just metres away. None of this was disclosed before booking. The owner later told 訂房網站 that construction stopped at 5 PM, but the work continued well beyond that time. We have video evidence. More concerning is that they're building another villa directly next door. Even when construction finishes, I seriously question how much privacy future guests will have. Another occupied villa overlooking the outdoor area and pool could permanently change the secluded experience people are paying for. There is also a chicken shed RIGHT NEXT TO THE VILLA, with cockerels crowing and noisy geese nearby. This isn't simply the occasional sound of countryside wildlife. You're staying directly beside the source of the noise. Combined with the construction, any hope of a peaceful retreat quickly disappears. The lack of privacy was particularly upsetting. We specifically booked a private villa with a pool so we could relax together without being overlooked. Instead, builders were working directly beside our outdoor area and looking towards us. My partner was wearing her bikini and felt extremely uncomfortable. We couldn't properly enjoy the pool or outdoor space, which completely defeated the purpose of booking a private villa. There were also serious safety concerns. The decking has a significant drop, yet parts of the edge have only what appears to be a flimsy plastic barrier approximately six inches high. We considered this a serious fall risk, particularly for families with children. The owner argued that the barrier was visible in the booking photographs, but that doesn't make it safe. Dinner was also considerably late, leaving us hungry and waiting. Being in such a remote location with very limited food options makes this especially frustrating. You depend on the property to provide what was arranged. The remote location also makes leaving difficult. Once you've travelled into the mountains, finding alternative accommodation and transport, especially later in the evening, is far from straightforward. Perhaps most disappointing was how our complaint was handled. Despite providing photographs and video evidence of the undisclosed construction, privacy problems and safety concerns, the owner refused to authorise a refund. We spent hours dealing with 訂房網站, repeatedly explaining the situation. Eventually, 訂房網站 offered monetary compensation from its own funds, while the villa owner continued refusing a refund. We lost much of our one-night stay dealing with complaints instead of relaxing. The mountain views are beautiful, but they cannot make up for the construction, constant animal noise, lack of privacy, safety concerns and poor handling of our complaint. My biggest warning is that these problems may not disappear when construction ends. With another villa being built immediately next door, the privacy guests expect could be permanently affected. **I would never stay here again. I would not recommend Kawin Mountain Villa to couples wanting privacy, families concerned about safety, or anyone looking for a peaceful mountain escape.** I genuinely wish someone had warned us before we booked.

Perfect for a romantic getaway. It was nice to have dinner and breakfast brought to us. The pool was a little chilly in February (as to be expected) but I think would be perfect in the warmer months.

The hotel's location is convenient and the bed was comfortable enough for a basic stay, but the overall experience was merely fair due to several issues. Since it’s located in mountain, a lot insects are expected. Furthermore, the tap water initially ran with a concerning yellow tint before clearing up. To add to the frustration, my room service meal was delayed without any update from the staff. While the property has potential and satisfies basic shelter needs, the lack of cleanliness and prompt service makes it hard to fully recommend.

This is a great way to getaway. Nice stay in the mountains 🏔️. The food was good also. But maybe think twice if you are anyone in your party has a short attention span.
