This is a really terrible hostel. I don’t even know where to begin. There’s no hot water for the shower, and the common area constantly smells due to the nearby restroom. Even worse, the room has no real window, so there’s no way to block out the loud music coming from a nearby restaurant. On top of that, the key lanyard smells so bad that I had to leave it outside because I couldn’t keep it in my pocket or bag. I came to La Fortuna hoping for a peaceful stay, but because of the awful conditions at this hostel, I’ve had to spend most of my time outside just to get away from it.
