Very friendly staff and good location. Although 3 stars is a bit high. It is rather 2,5 stars. Breakfast was a good start of the day, continental and Indian. Room was small and old, ac noisy. But who cares; you don’t go to Kolkata to stay in your room. On the roof was a terrace where you can eat and drink. All in all great stay. Will definitely come back next time

It's difficult for me to give a fair assessment of the hotel. On the one hand, the staff tried to maintain a professional standard of guest service and were polite. On the other hand, the condition of the hotel and the room where I checked in on my fourth attempt was extremely unsatisfactory. The sofa upholstery was covered in numerous cigarette ash burns, as were the desk and coffee table. The sanitary condition of the room and bathroom was unsatisfactory. The shower head was a third covered in rust, and while showering and washing my hands in the sink, the water would suddenly stop flowing, which was disappointing. I stayed for two nights from January 2-4, 2026. On Friday night and Saturday night, I could hear loud conversations and drunken brawls in neighboring rooms every night due to the lack of soundproofing in the walls. The hotel and room interiors, including the elevator, look very tired and require urgent repairs. The only thing I liked were the two elderly hotel staff: one polite *** at reception and the other, a doorman. He's rude to talk to, but inside, he seems decent and conscientious about his job. I tried to eat at the hotel restaurant a couple of times, but decided against it because of the rude staff. Despite the surprisingly difficult daily life of Indians, I really love India.
