I had a great stay. The owners are super lovely and will go out of their way to help you. I highly recommend the breakfast and dinners, they were great for big days of hiking and convenient as there aren't too many food options up in the mountains. The train carriages have a large sleeping area and a connected large room to store your things or just to hang out. Yes the pillows are like a bag of rice but it's part of the experience! Great place to stay and great value.

기대했던것보다는 많이 좋았습니다 너무 외진건 아닌가 걱정했지만 그런대로 지낼만했구요 근처에서 장을봐가서 고기도 구워먹고(도구는 대여 비용지불) 나름 새로운 경험이었습니다 4인가족 한룸에서 보냈는데 비바람이 몰아쳐서 살짝무섭기는했지만 캠핑기분도나고 좋았습니다 난방은 4인 600엔 추가하여 등유난로를 켜주셨고 온수셔워시 1인 200엔을 내면 장작으로 물을 데워주시는것같아서 바로 체크아웃하고 주변 온천으로 갔습니다

朝夕付きで予約しました。受付では、女將さんが出迎えてくれて、家庭的な料理に感動😊 九重國立公園內に位置する、アウトドア好きにはたまらない場所でした。 お手製の建物、電車の車両の寢床など、楽しかったです。 また、行きたいですね。

Such a creative and amazing place to rest in the mountains. The owner was so kind and helpful accomodating my phone call in english as my japanese is not the best. Facilitated a 10pm check in which was very late especially since it was a same day booking. The room was perfect and it felt so authentic and fun to sleep in a train. I loved it, never wrote a review before but the owner deserves it for their hard work!

An amazing experience. The owner is so kind, the food was amazing and sleeping in an old train car was very fun :) Also, the location is great and a short bus ride away from the Kuju hiking trails. Highly recommend!
