Our stay at The Stepwell Hotel was a major letdown as a couple. We were shocked to find over 60% of the property under construction—dusty corridors, no elevator access, and stepped over work materials just to reach our room. The room lacked cupboards, chairs, or hangers, making it frustrating to unpack. The bathroom smelled of sewage, drained poorly, and even small insects were present despite supposedly being cleaned. Staff never informed us in advance about the renovation mess or narrow access unsuitable for taxis. For a supposedly charming heritage stay, this was unexpectedly disappointing.

Really loved this hidden gem. The rooftop bar was beautiful with views over the beautiful Jodphur. You look directly down to the step well. The Manager was most welcoming. One of the lovely bartenders made me the most delicious cocktail with Corriandor in. My favourite. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Awesome heritage hotel with a decent staff and also with good good great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travel-led with two six year olds and lots of luggage and despite the stairs up to the elevator this was one of the nicest places we stayed

Property is just opposite to toorji ka jhalra, giving a beautiful view of stepwell. Hotel offered complimentary upgrade. Staff was very helpful. Had a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
