Cool stay at a monastery in Koyasan! As far as I understand, Shojoshin-in is one of the larger temple lodgings in Koyasan. Our room had an amazing view (koi pond and forest) from the tea room. All our basic needs are met including amenities. They served authentic Japanese vegan meals; I particularly enjoyed the dinner as it had a large variety of small dishes. Keep in mind this is Japanese style lodging, where you have a shared bath with other guests.

Tutto perfetto! Ho soggiornato qui per una notte il 18 ottobre.
La posizione è ottima, è il tempio più vicino all’ingresso del cimitero (questo mi ha permetto di farci un giro notturno vista la vicinanza).
Le stanze sono in stile giapponese e fornite di una stufetta eletti da se dovesse fare troppo freddo. Inoltre forniscono un kimono per dormire, e gli asciugamani.
Il bagno era in comune, pulito. La vasca termale anche.
I pasti vegetariani molto buoni e vari.
Alle 6.30 del mattino è possibile seguire la preghiera.
Ci sono dei monaci che sanno parlare inglese, molto d’aiuto!
Rapporto qualità prezzo davvero vantaggioso!

We would have preferred a thicker tatami. Otherwise the place is really an adventure to remember. Dont miss the 4pm temple tour and 6:30am morning service.

everything was perfect (dinner, breakfast, location, staff, room)! Highly recommended. If you can, stay for atleast two nights.
