城南舊事民宿 (Chengnan Old Stories Homestay)

Beware before booking this hotel. The room rate may look cheap, but you’ll end up spending much more on transportation. A taxi from the city center costs around 80 yuan, and the ride from the hotel to the airport costs about 50 yuan. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Manzhouli, far from most places you’ll want to visit. The hotel appears to be newly built, but when I opened the window there was a strange smell outside. I had to keep the window closed and run the air conditioner instead. During my stay, I accidentally stained a pillowcase. The owner initially demanded 200 yuan as compensation. After arguing, I still had to pay 100 yuan. In total, I spent 260 yuan for an incredibly uncomfortable stay that lasted only about 7 hours. The disposable slippers smelled so bad that I couldn’t wear them and left them on the shelf. This was by far the most unpleasant experience of my entire 10-day 訂房網站 to China. Not recommended.
