We waited around ten minutes after meeting the hotel representative, yet only one small vehicle arrived and picked up seven or eight other guests. Our group of Chinese visitors waited for nearly another hour until four foreign tourists showed up, after which we were finally assigned a larger shuttle bus to the hotel.
2. We booked an ocean-view room more than two months in advance. The actual room we received (Photos 1, 2, 3) bears little resemblance to the listing on Agoda (Photo 4). The official listing features an unobstructed sea view, while our room only overlooks trees. After an hour-long negotiation, the front office manager refused to acknowledge fake adverti*****t. Manager Maya spoke in a sarcastic, manipulative manner. She said, that "we believe the resort engaged in scamming", but we assure you that as any person with normal intelligence would not classify views of trees and buildings as an ocean view. The hotel offered two remedies: either stay in the tree-view room with a four-hour late checkout, or upgrade to a standard room at the current walk-in rate of 770 RMB per night.
