Staff are helpful and friendly, close to a bus stop, so you can go out for hiking easily. However, if you have a car, it would be more suitable as the village is quite steep, so if you travel by train you it would drain your energy a lot to go to the hotel.

Très agréable pub, dîner et petit déjeuner de qualité, une tasse de café supplémentaire aurait fait plaisir , excellent ambiance en soirée avec un jeu de quiz pour les habitués

Excellent service, welcome and food. Only downside was an errant fire alarm and the exit sign in the room was exceptionally bright! The outdoor drinking/dining space is very good for Hathersage.
