斯塔茨精品酒店 (Boutiquehotel Staats)

We loved this quirky little hotel. It smells gorgeous when you walk in the door and the decor is sumptuous and stylish. The staff are lovely and helpful. The hotel is two minutes walk from the train station and about a ten minute walk to the Grote Markt area. Our room was lovely - we appreciated the extra touches that made it feel like a treat to stay here. Breakfast was bijou but very lovely and had we wanted to we could have ordered omelette/eggs in addition to what was on offer. All in all a lovely base for exploring the area.

We stayed here when we got married in Haarlem. It is a perfect location, close to airport bus, train station and city centre. The hotel looks very nice and so did the room. The living room is a handy addition for coffee and tea and relaxing. The fresh cookies and boterkoek were a nice touch. There were a few things that made this experience a bit less great. Firstly, we arrived late and would have loved to have dinner at the beautiful looking restaurant. Unfortunately, it was completely booked.It would be nice if they could reserve a spot for guest staying at the hotel (or email about this). Secondly, we had the ask for room service and new towels. Thirdly, the room itself (Presidential suite) could do with a make up mirror with dedicated light. The atmosphere lighting in the room is really nice but the lighting makes it really difficult for make up wedding preparations. There is neither a tall mirror which we would have benefitted from. Lastly, where our family staying at another hotel received a personal card regarding them staying for our wedding, we didn't receive anything. It would have nice to receive a personal greeting and some little flowers in the room about this being our special day. Just a personal touch to make this experience even more special.

Only downside was there was no lift to the top floors. Other than that the place is really quiet and restful.

What a cool hotel. It has a great vibe on entering, and a plush and quirky interior. Our room was amazing, it was huge and comfortable. We enjoyed a lovely bath, rain shower and stayed in from the rain. Gezellig. Great location between de station and de centrum. Dankje wel!
