萬豪阿爾加維Salgados度假村 (Marriott Residences Salgados Resort, Algarve)

I recently stayed at the Marriott in Albufeira, Portugal, and I have to say it was a very disappointing experience. We booked a half-board stay for three people and paid for it, but at check-in, even though it was just my wife and me, the staff insisted that since a third person wasn’t present, we wouldn’t receive our included meals. After a lengthy argument and escalating it to the manager, they finally allowed us to have the meals we paid for. The problems didn’t end there. We were first given a room on the ground floor with no natural light, and it was not cleaned properly—no shower gel, missing toiletries. After we complained, they moved us to the fourth floor, but there was no lift access, so we had to climb several flights. The cleanliness issues continued, and we had to call almost daily for basics like toothpaste, toiletries, and water refills. Even more concerning, housekeeping entered at random times, with no set schedule, leaving us feeling very unsafe. On top of all this, the breakfast service was extremely basic—far below what I would expect from a hotel of the Marriott’s caliber. Overall, this stay was far below my expectations, and I would not recommend it.
