🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely loved my stay at Java Wood! This little villa was the perfect peaceful retreat during my time on Gili T. The rooms were clean, cosy, and beautifully styled with natural wooden touches — you can tell real care has gone into the place. But what truly made it special were the staff — incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. They went out of their way to make me comfortable and help with anything I needed, from local tips to arranging transport. It’s tucked away in a quiet spot, but still just a short walk to the beach and restaurants. If you’re looking for a relaxed and authentic stay with warm hospitality, Java Wood is a gem. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, our 9-night stay at Java Wood was very disappointing and did not live up to expectations. The property is quite old and the wooden structure makes a lot of creaking noises at night, which was uncomfortable, especially when trying to sleep. More seriously, we had a rat problem. We could hear rats scratching around the door, and on one occasion we actually saw a rat coming from inside the room and going outside underneath the door. This is obviously very concerning from a hygiene and accommodation standpoint. The water situation was also frustrating. Water was only provided on the first day. When we asked for more, we were told that they only provide water on the first day. There was also one entire day when there was no water at all. I understand that this is an island and occasional water shortages can happen, but there should be some kind of backup arrangement, especially for guests staying multiple nights. At one point, I had to buy bottled water just to wash my face before going out to eat. Housekeeping was another major issue. We stayed for 9 nights, but the room and rubbish were not consistently cleaned. There was one staff member who was very kind and helpful, but when another staff member was working, we were told things like “it was cleaned yesterday, so it won’t be cleaned today.” This resulted in the rubbish eventually overflowing. We should not have had to repeatedly ask for basic cleaning during a 9-night stay. The private pool was also disappointing. As shown in the photos, the pool became visibly dirty after only a few uses, and despite asking the staff to clean it, it was not properly cleaned. The pool itself is also very shallow — around waist level — so it did not feel like a particularly useful or enjoyable private pool. Overall, the biggest problem was not that everything was perfect or that there were occasional island-related issues. It was the lack of response to our repeated requests and the feeling that our concerns were simply not taken seriously. For a 9-night stay, we expected at least basic cleanliness, reliable communication, and reasonable attention to guest requests. The staff member who was genuinely kind and helpful was a positive part of the stay, but unfortunately that did not make up for the other issues. I would not recommend staying here for an extended stay, particularly if you expect regular housekeeping, reliable water supply, and a clean private pool.

На стойке регистрации очень милые ребята. А вот вилла не соответствует фото. Она не просто устала, она разваливается. Вход на личную территорию виллы - без замка, изнутри закрыть можно на щеколду, но когда Вас нет дома, участок открыт. Двери в дом и в туалет - с огромными щелями, поэтому номер населен пауками и ящерицами. Над кроватью нет балдахина, а с потолка свисает огромное количество паутины. Света мало, горит всего 2 лампочки. Ручки на мебели сломаны. Постельное белье рваное. Напора воды почти нет, струйка меньше сантиметра, сама вода холодная. Бассейн только для галочки, воды в нем мало, он грязный, по периметру доски сгнили. Сейфа нет. Дом очень тонкий, было слышно и соседей (и нам не повезло, там была шумная семья), и даже песни с ресепшена в 23 вечера. З

Private pool overrated. Broken tiles inside pool and wooden looks like old n creepy house. Overall, great deco but poor maintenance.

Будьте готовы к тому, что вилла сильно уставшая, и это видно невооруженным взглядом. Доски местами - гнилые и проваливаются, плитка в бассейне «гуляет» или местами ее уже нет, а в ванной ужасно воняет, особенно если попадете в дождь. Плюсы: в этой вилле есть какой-то шарм деревянного домика, как будто построенного в симс. (Замок в виде сердечка, деревянные окошки, уютный пледик). Минусы: очень сильная слышимость. Слышно соседей, которые принимают душ или купаются в бассейне, слышно пение в мечети до 12 ночи, слышно как барабанит дождь всю ночь, так как будто бы ты в теплице лежишь. Очень воняет в ванной! И если идет дождь ванну заливает водой (т.к. душ без крыши).

Beautiful rustic Java wood design that I really loved, and the cabin was peaceful and private. However, some areas looked a little rundown. The wooden toilet table had a noticeable dent and a bit of mold, making it look like it needed better maintenance. The bidet water pressure was also very slow from evening until morning, and there was an unpleasant smell from the bathroom at night. We also used the laundry service and were told morning laundry would be ready by evening. However, when we returned from our fun dive at 8 PM, it hadn’t been sent out yet. We received it the next morning, nicely folded, although some clothes were still slightly damp. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and privacy, but this place need to maintained more
