I chose this hotel for its combination of service and location, both of which are excellent. If you arrive or depart by train, this hotel’s location can’t be beat. It’s a 5-min walk from the station and right at the top of the famous Malioboro street. The service is top notch with extremely friendly staff who greet you throughout the entire hotel. Breakfast is amazing with many western options and the best Indonesian food. My only small complaint would be the smell in the otherwise immaculate lobby. The hotel has just recently been redone so it’s not old of musty, but there is a certain unpleasant smell once you enter the lobby. The rooms and restaurant don’t have this issue. The rooms themselves have been tastefully decorated with beautiful light fixtures and amenities. Even the slippers are made of traditional rattan and look great.

I had a wonderful stay at Grand Hotel De Djokja! The hotel was clean, immaculate, and luxurious with a rich history. The hotel’s location is perfect, just a 10 minutes walk from Tugu Station and Malioboro Street is just a step away from the hotel grounds! Perfect for last minute batik and bakpia shopping! The breakfast options were great as well! I loved the local Jogja breakfast options especially the Kopi Tubruk. The hotel employees were accommodating and friendly, and are always there to greet you with a smile. They made my stay here 100 times better. I truly understand what they say about Indonesian hospitality. Mr. Cahya was gracious and outgoing, and he called Mr. Angga out to give us a brief tour of the hotel and the history behind the hotel’s inception, which was a definite highlight to our stay! Thank you to Mr. Cahya and Mr. Angga! The housekeeping staff, namely Mr/Mrs Apri, Danu and Naya, took incredible care in making sure our room was spick and span for us when we came back from a tiring day outside. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family if they’re ever in Jogja, kudos to the team!

Niesamowicie uprzejma i pomocna obsługa, gustownie urządzone pokoje i części wspólne, wspaniałe śniadanie. Dzięki uprzejmości personelu mogliśmy zostać w hotelu trochę dłużej czekając na pociąg.
