夏日奎斯特酒店 (Summer Quest Hotel)

Staff is nice & friendly. The floor was not clean in the room was not clean and bathroom smelled of pee when I arrived, but it was cleaned up well when I complained the following day. Just note that it looks a little shabby and the bathroom floor is stained by what looks like water deposits, but seems clean. Towels are greyish so they LOOK dirty, but they smells freshly washed so I assume it's just that they are old and not washed in bleach. It's in a good location on Malioboro, walking distance from attractions like Raminten for last minute shopping and short commute back when you stay out late. The only drawback location-wise is the very narrow lane it's located on. Cars can enter, but with a lot of difficulty so I would just walk if you can. The room strangely provides tea and coffee sachets but had no kettle-which is fine by me as I never use those anyway. Iron available upon request. They kindly accepted my Shopee package at the check in desk and kept it for me. While they do have a strict anti-prostitution sign at the check in desk that makes it seem seedy, there were a lot of families staying there. There is a sort of splashing pool for kids on the 2nd/3rd floor, but don't expect the kind of pool you would find in an expensive hotel. It is a good place to stay if you are a solo traveller who is not picky about small things and is looking for a place to crash & save $$ for shopping and other things. But if you are pickier or want a place to relax, this is probably not your best bet.
