You get what you pay for. Since the price was budget friendly, we didn't go in with sky-high expectations, but our family of four (two adults and two kids) still ran into a few notable drawbacks. The layout consists of one room per floor. The upper-floor bedroom features a double bed, while the ground floor is a traditional tatami room. Upon checking in, we realized we had to lay out and set up the futons ourselves. To make matters worse, the futon mattresses were incredibly thin, leaving us with sore backs the next morning. On the bright side, the house was fully stocked with almost all basic amenities—with one annoying exception: house slippers. In our eyes, slippers are a fundamental staple for any vacation rental, so it was a bit disappointing. The most frustrating aspect, however, was the parking situation. One of the main reasons we chose this place was its promise of free parking. When we inquired before arrival, the host informed us that the property could only accommodate extremely small vehicles—like local K-cars—because the access path was exceedingly narrow. They actually suggested we pay to park at a public lot nearby. If the "free parking" only applies to micro-cars, that limitation should be clearly stated upfront on the listing. In the end, I managed to navigate the path and park right outside the entrance, but it was a nerve-wracking squeeze with barely an inch to spare on either side. Overall, it serves its purpose as a cheap place to crash, but future guests should definitely keep these quirks in mind.
