TRU - 溫徹斯特希爾頓酒店 (Tru by Hilton Winchester)

Very nice hotel close to I-81. The staff is very professional and helpful, beds are comfortable and room was clean. It's about 10 minutes from downtown.

In pics and in person the modern fresh room style is appealing though the functionality is sub-par. An example: one night table was a solid piece, no drawer or shelf with the top diameter much smaller than my laptop. Typically, a phone (use as an alarm), a bottle of water and an iPad , e-reader or book/magazine would be on a nightstand. Whoops, no room for all that and the slick surface made me nervous to leave my iPad on it. The open closet is fine, especially for me as I don't hang or put clothes in a drawer, but the only space available that wasn't in the bathroom is directly below where one would hang their clothes and right above the fridge. This could make it a perfect spot for a soft sided cooler, but this relatively small space (didn't measure, maybe 14"x20" with Keurig-style coffee maker already on it) is where one might set snacks, extra sodas, the cereal one brings because they like to eat the same thing every day and need a spot to set their cereal bowl while grabbing milk out of fridge right below. Not sure about you, but I'm not terribly comfortable putting food & dishes in the bathroom. Unfortunately, that is where my coffee maker needed to go (if I'm remembering correctly) the outlets where not accessible so Mr. Nespresso did need to go in the bathroom. Bathroom shower had some mold around the caulk area, otherwise serviceable. Not a horrible room overall, but not as nice as other similarly priced nearby chains so I'll stick to those.

Very good. Hotel looks fresh and cozy. Guest laundry, pool, gym, 24/7 coffee and hot water - everything is available. However, I catched 2 small insects (I have no idea how they come from outside, but most likely they were from outside). There are also some black spots on walls. Breakfast is good - eggs (boiled and scrambled) and sausages, you can also make pancakes. Staff is friendly and helpful. Totally, it is a good place to stay.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are very modern with a small refrigerator and beds are very comfortable.It's about 12 minutes from downtown -which could be a drawback for some. The staff was pleasant and gave good recommendations on restaurants.
