卡爾頓酒店 (The Carlton Hotel)

地點非常好，晚上我們去海灘走了走，喝了啤酒，晚上回來快10點半了，樓板較薄，感覺隔壁一開門就被吵醒

Overall the hotel was pretty decent. Good location and great views fron the room. But you know the building is a but old one some dont expect 5star model. You want some thing vintage and good you are in the right place. I loved it . And the staff was so lovely and friendly. I will suggest this one.

Oh dear. The room types don't match the pictures for the actual rooms. Don't expect Double Rooms or Double Rooms Sea View to look anything like the images. Got laughed at by Reception on pointing this out and blamed Trip. Com Room was tiny and windows would not close, it was freezing. Got moved to a Comfort Double which are the images. But. Not clean, bathrooms need ripping and replacing, window not double glazed or any protection, thin curtains that you could see moving in the wind.. Partner arrived late and we were given the third degree by the night clerk, "who is this, why are they here" he said at the main door, with his hand on it to prevent me opening it. When I explained it was my partner the other guest in the room, he would not believe or accept this, and we had to stand at the desk whilst he went into the back office and "checked" This was so totally unacceptable and uncomfortable. It came across as really homophobic and threatening. I appreciate it was late, but there's a positive and welcoming way to greet someone arriving any time of day, and I fail to see what he achieved by acting in this manner. Went to complain in the morning and told to write in. Not okay and not happy.

My husband and I stayed at the carlton hotel in folkstone for three nights, initially it didn't look too bad, just dark and a bit run down, but after settling into our room we began to notice what the other reviewers had said, their were marks on the pillows although the cases were clean, there were marks on the wallpaper of which I couldn't tell you what they were, the windows were filthy inside and out, the carpet was filthy and didn't look like it had ever been vacuumed, the shower curtain was suppose to be white it was filthy, the underneath of the taps were filthy. and the skirting boards had a thick layer of dust on them. The bed was hard and lumpy with springs sticking out, the list goes on. Breakfast was continental with one bowl of tin fruit, dry bread, tea/coffee yogurt, and a few other bits. Two of the staff regularly stood just outside the main entrance smoking, which was horrific when walking past, the hotel was full of traditional features so it was such a shame to see it so run down. The rooms had been devided by thin ply I think, you could hear every movement, we were woken up in the early hours of the morning by three people shouting at each other and having a huge row, nothing was done or said about it. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone, I can put up with a hotel needing updating slightly but this was extream and the dust and dirt was even worse. The leas gardens were wonderful, absolutely huge and well worth a visit,

位置很好，美麗的海境，房間size尚可 但浴室熱水只是微暖，房間隔音欠佳 早餐沒有熱食，只得toast 和冷盤火腿芝士
