Dortmund Mercure is a typical business hotel with minimum frills. It’s more appropriate for solo travelers but the bed and room can be comfortable for couples. The breakfast is uninspiring but still worth it if you’re booking the room at a good price. Front staff are efficient and the location is close to the trains and the high street. The lobby is quite comfortable too. Take note that the entrance is a bit hard to find and you have to take a lift to check in.

Close to the main station about 7 minutes walk. Secure at night and sometimes offer late check outs when it’s not too busy for those with very late flights which is one of the main reasons why I keep going back. A bit out dated on the decor but it’s ok for the price.
