On arrival we were greeted by a chap who I think was the owner who was very helpful and gave us our room key. On entering our room was warm, heated by a portable electric radiator. The central heating was off. On first inspection it appeared clean although there was a receipt just under the bed. The bed was a king size but was very tired and not very supportive of my bad back. The springs creaked when you turned over. The most disappointing aspect was the bathroom being cold and there was NO hot water. There was a heated towel rail but as there was no central heating, we couldn’t shower. We were staying with another couple across the landing who too had no central heating and no hot water. Their bed had a memory foam mattress which they were happy with. I went down to the now unstaffed reception to find there was no way of contacting the owner by phone. Plus point was the Tv worked. Regrettably we wouldn’t book again.
