Lovely hotel, lots of history and atmosphere. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts are excellent. We have stayed several times and will do so again. Really handy to have free onsite car park and an easy walk into town.

The staff greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile. The room was well laid out and very clean. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was excellent. The service was prompt, efficient and friendly. Margaret made us feel right at home. The service in the bar was attentive and efficient. The barman was friendly and helpful. The full English breakfast gave us a great start to the day. There was plenty of choice and the service was quick and friendly. Parking on site was secure and there were plenty of spaces. We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the near future.
