Nice hotel but unfortunately very dated. Bath was very dated with sharp bits of wood exposed. Plug was dirty. Bed lumpy. Window not sealed so lots of noise. Creaky floorboards.

Brilliant location, lovely old building. The fold out beds for kids are uncomfortable (worse than the ones at travel lodge or premmier inn). Don't bother with breakfast! Kept running out of things and didn't always replace them. Bacon inedible, sausages cheap, no nlack pudding even though it's on the menu and small portions. I would stay again but wouldn't add breakfast

On the first night I was out in a small room which was stuffy and unventilated, however after complaining I was put in a much nicer room for the rest of my stay. The second room had a good view and a/c. Location is superb for Chester Centre.

Great location in a historic building. Only downside was taxi booked by hotel did not show up early morning and had to be rebooked but made my train ok

USB ports in the room didn’t work, aircon switched itself off in the middle of the night so I woke up sweating at 3am. No shower gel in the shower and had hairs on the bedding. If it wasn’t so late I would’ve asked for a room switch

City centre hotel. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. No parking so use the grovener shopping centre car park. Didn’t have any food so can’t comment

Great location, friendly staff, value for money. 50 hards from amphitheatre and 20 yards from Eastgate clocked and access to walk the roman wall
