蓬塔海濱度假村 (Punta Riviera Resort Bolinao)

As a family we were stunned by the advertising photos of this resort, but when we arrived to this resort we got immediately discouraged of what it books as a public resort.. it was very dirty, smelly and on the other hand the pools was small and the water not  clear, no wonder why it is because the people who use it are dirty going in and out of the pool where the all surrounding sands and grasses, no rules were implemented regarding a hygiene use of the pool, therefore we quit swimming we spent all the time in our room, let me mention here that the room was very dirty, smelly like the most ugly smelly public toilet.. i. General it was really a  3 nights of a nightmare, I really don’t recommend it to any people who like cleanliness like our family.. i was very happy and relieved after I departed this resort and i will never repeat checking in here again This is my honest experience as I lived it

We enjoyed our stay here, we book for 1 night but we feel we like to stay more , nice staff 🥰

The place has a lot of potential, and we had a generally pleasant stay. The staff were accommodating, and we appreciated their flexibility with both check-in and check-out. They also provided bellboy assistance for our luggage upon arrival and departure, and the check-out process was quick and hassle-free. However, the property could benefit from better maintenance and housekeeping. Some of the door knobs were broken, and the restroom doors had no locks. We also requested assistance to fix the restroom drainage and remove a frozen cockroach from the refrigerator, but unfortunately, no one attended to these concerns before we checked out. Since the weather was bad during our stay, we ended up spending most of our time inside the accommodation, making the condition and cleanliness of the room even more important. I hope the management prioritizes regular maintenance and improves room cleanliness to provide a better guest experience. Overall, despite these issues, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back.

Our stay at this hotel was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we checked in, we were met with comfort and hygiene issues that made our stay highly uncomfortable. The Major Issues: Unbearable Bathroom Odor: The restroom smelled absolutely awful—like a foul mix of sewage, vomit, and urine—for our entire stay. The plumbing is clearly backed up, and it seems like they have a severe drainage issue. The "Odor Leak": The bathroom smell was so potent that if we left the door open even for a split second, the terrible stench would immediately take over the entire bedroom. Musty Room: Even without the bathroom smell, the bedroom itself had a heavy, old, and stale odor that made it feel unventilated and unhygienic. Weak Air Conditioning (Had to Ask for a Fan): To make matters worse, the AC unit was barely functioning. It could not get the room cold. It was so weak and stuffy that we actually had to ask the staff for an extra electric fan just to make the room tolerable.

The best part is the kayaking. Something very unique in the resort because of their access to the river attached to the property. Highly recommended with many facilities to enjoy.

The room is spacious with a sitting area, large closet, and refrigerator with freezer. They also provide some amenities like soap, shampoo, and toilet paper. Bath towels are also provided. The balcony and the bathroom are clean, however, there are some dust on the windowsills of the room's interior and on the corners. For a large room, they only provide a single non-absorbent floor mat. They might want to provide more, considering that it's a resort providing water activities. There's also a sign in the bathroom detailing instructions on how to use the water heater, but there is no water heater. The other room that we booked located on a different building has a heater, though. The room is located on the 2nd floor, the water pressure is good and the toilet has a bidet. Be careful on the bath, though, as it's slippery. They should also consider adding a non-slip mat on the bathtub as a safety precaution. There's TV inside the room but it doesn't have any channels. I think they forgot to add another remote needed for you to be able to access the channels. The TV on the other room that we booked is working fine, though. The river is nice and clean and the free time alotted for kayaking is more than enough to explore it. The beach has mixed fine and coarse sand with some corals and shells. The water is calm and it's only knee deep even during hightide in the afternoon, so it's safe for kids. Since the beach is shared with an abandoned resort, and numerous other resorts in the area, it would be good if the staff in charge of maintenance clean the resort's beachfront to minimize the amount of trash, as there are also some trash on the resort's huts located on the beachfront. The 2 pools are clear and clean, one is located in front of the river, while the infinity pool is facing the beach. The riverside pool closes at 7pm, while the infinity pool closes at 12mn. The garden is also nice, although there are some dried bushes here and there. Wifi is only available in public areas. The free breakfast is ok, with 2 pieces of dried fish, 1 hotdog, and 1 cup of rice, and unlimited serving of instant black coffee. The owner is friendly, and the front desk staff, bellboy, and security are also helpful and accommodating. The resort seems adequately staffed; although it is recommended to retrain the maintenance staff on the cleanliness of the rooms and grounds. There are also nearby restaurants, and the Mangunguna Restaurant across the street serves really good and affordable meals. The River Restaurant and Giant Taklobo Restaurant are also within walking distance.

A little bit disappointed kasi pagpasok mo palang ng room incomplete siya. Wala man lang naka steady na cups , water, sabon, toothpaste, etc. Hindi refreshing ang amoy and the toilet and bathroom is not clean. And medyo napuyat kasi till 12am ata yung music at may kasama pang bata. They did not even consider yung blanket na hndi kasya yun sa isang tao lang so pinabayaran payung extra blanket well infact dapat tig isa naman dapat yun kasi bayad naman yung room as 6 . But the positive side is mabavait yung staff nila at the location of the resort is maganda dahil malalapit siya sa mga tourist spots sa bolinao.

The staff were not very friendly, but they were okay at the minimum naman. The place was nice, though.
