大隅酒店 (Hotel Osumi)

we were pretty happy with our assigned room, except that we had to walk 3 flights of stairs to get to it. There was no kettle but we were given one when we requested. No table, so we had to place the kettle on the floor to boil our water. Though not marketed as an AIRBNB, it operates like one, though there must be at least a dozen rooms in this building. There's no reception desk! When we arrived, we walked thru an open door and waited some minutes inside a "waiting area" before someone appeared to hand the keys to us. When he left we were left wondering how we would ask for help if we needed it - there's no phone in our room, or anywhere in the building! Thankfully, the few times we wanted help, someone miraculously showed up!!
