八號酒店 (Eight)

The location of the hotel was perfect. Although our room on the top floor was extremely hot and cramped. The free standing air-conditioning unit didn't make a difference to the temperature. I appreciate that this is an old building, but this wasn't the luxury stay we were expecting. It wasn't a bad experience, just an average one. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Central location helps to overcome the cramped feeling staying in the annexe. The car was parked at the other end of town and drop off was difficult to say the least but it is what it is. I had no reason whatsoever to check out the main building reception, breakfast area perhaps a bar and lounge area too because nothing pointed me there! So generally, it was a room in a loft space built to an "average" measure. I never like shower cubicles where I tend to bang elbows and worry about breaking something when I drop the soap. Breakfast price was horrendous so no inclination to walk in on the hop to check it out for the 2 nights stayed. I felt detached, cramped and in a bed-sit like accommodation. It is what it is.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. The honesty bar is very expensive though although coffee is free and the mattress our bed was a little uncomfortable.

Excellent hotel, very clean, very friendly staff. Noise insulation wasn’t great but it’s understandable given the age of the building. Highly recommend here if staying a night or two in Bath

Excellent little hotel in a perfect location. Would come back.
